John Proctor — President and CEO
As President and CEO of Martello Technologies, John oversees corporate direction & strategy, to grow the business and ensure the company’s position as a global industry leader.
A respected senior ICT executive, John brings more than eight years of experience driving strategic initiatives that build businesses. Prior to his work in the private sector, John served for more than twenty years in the Canadian and British Forces. On entering the private sector John has served in multiple roles, including Vice President, Global Cyber Security at CGI, where he was responsible for the company’s strategic vision on Cyber Security. John is also a very active member of the ICT community, including sitting on the ICT advisory board for Government Affairs Canada and also the CATA Cyber Council.
Niall Gallagher — Co-Founder and VP, Product Management
Niall Gallagher is co-founder and Vice President, Product Management for Martello Technologies.
The visionary behind Martello’s early product development, Niall has more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry starting with Nortel Networks in 1981. Niall has held senior management positions in Nortel Networks in Canada and Hong Kong. Niall joined Mitel Networks in 2005 where he was responsible for Strategic Planning and Product Management for Mitel’s Service Provider business.
Niall holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland, and an MBA from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
Doug Bellinger — Chief Technology Officer
Doug Bellinger is Chief Technology Officer for Martello Technologies. A technology leader, Doug has over twenty years of experience in telecommunications networking, service and network management, and all aspects of software product development and life cycle management. At Martello, Doug is responsible for the company’s technology strategy and for building a first class development team.
Doug previously held positions at Nakina Systems, Atreus Systems, Solect Technology, CrossKeys Systems, CADLink Technology and Newbridge Networks. Prior to co-founding Atreus, Doug was a founding member of CrossKeys Systems Corporation, a leading network and service management company that achieved IPO in 1997. In that role, Doug was instrumental in the aggressive growth of corporate revenues and responsible for rapidly growing the R&D group.
Doug holds a B.A. Sc. (Honours, Applied Science in Electrical Engineering) from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
Pardeep Koonar — Director of Sales
As Director of Sales for Martello Technologies, Pardeep is responsible for global sales, managing a growing base of partners and customers around the world. Pardeep has played a key role in Martello’s success, driving channel and direct sales with a focus on pre and post-sales service excellence. Bringing an in depth knowledge of IT service management to Martello, Pardeep has over 13 years of technology sales experience, including solution selling and proposal management. Prior to joining Martello Technologies, Pardeep previously held positions at Experis, a Manpower company, ITSM Training & Consulting, and Ubitech Systems.
Pardeep holds a degree in Business and Economics from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.
Tracy King – Director of Marketing
Bringing more than 15 years’ experience in technology B2B marketing, Tracy is responsible for Martello’s global channel and corporate marketing programs – including strategic marketing, public relations, investor relations, channel marketing and customer communications.
Prior to joining Martello Technologies, Tracy held marketing and communications positions at Precidia Technologies, an Ottawa-based payment technology company, NAV Canada, and the Hon. John Manley, Minister of Industry Canada. Tracy holds a degree in Political Science from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.
Erin Crowe – Chief Financial Officer
Erin Crowe is Chief Financial Officer of Martello. Erin has more than 20 years’ experience in CFO and senior finance roles. Prior to Martello, Erin held various CFO and COO roles, including Executive VP and CFO of Senators Sports & Entertainment. Erin has received many accolades: the Ottawa Women’s Business Network named her the 2009 Corporate Businesswoman of the Year and she was included in the Ottawa Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2010.
Erin holds a degree in Commerce from Queen’s University, as well as FCPA and FCA designations.
Anne Robitaille – Director of Human Resources
As the Director Human Resources, Anne oversees a human resources strategy that supports the achievement of the company’s mission, vision, strategic and operational objectives.
A Human Resources professional with over 20 years experience in the design and implementation of human resource strategies that includes policies, or programs including, workforce planning, talent management, performance management, development planning and succession planning. Anne’s expertise in Human Resources was honed through experiences with large and small, as well as unionized and non-unionized organizations. Anne has held Human Resources positions at BelAir Networks, Raza Foundries, Mitel, Canadian Bank Note Company and The Carleton Board of Education.
Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Concentration in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, and a Certificate in Personnel Administration from the University of Guelph
Fred Parent – Chief Innovation Officer
Frederick Parent has extensive experience in the development of embedded systems, telecoms, security, process optimization and Linux/UNIX development environments. He leads research initiatives and efforts in developing key technologies within the Elfiq Operating System (EOS), leveraging his expertise in the field of TCP/IP networking and programming.
Martin Deveault – VP, Research and Development
Martin Deveault is overseeing the team responsible for user experience and the delivery of Elfiq products. Martin has extensive experience in developing systems and applications meeting specific industry needs, in addition to taught computer science at the college level.
Patrice Boies – VP, Enterprise Sales
As Vice President of Enterprise Sales, Patrice oversees management of sales team and Channel Partners, in order to deliver profitable growth. For several years, Patrice managed a global network or Value Added Resellers, Partners and customers. Patrice has over 20 years of experience in executive and management positions in sales, marketing and operations in the telecommunications, networking and digital transformation industries.
Patrice holds a bachelor degree from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, where he competed in the NCAA as a member of the tennis team and earned several awards.

Sir Terence H. Matthews — Co-Chairman
(Kt.,OBE, P.Eng., F.I.E.E. F R Eng)
Sir Terence Matthews is the founder and Chairman of Wesley Clover, an investment vehicle and holding company. Terry has either founded or funded over 80 companies since 1972 including Newbridge Networks, a company he founded in 1986 and which became a leader in the worldwide data networking industry. In 1972, before launching Newbridge, Terry co-founded Mitel, a world leader in the design and manufacture of enterprise communications solutions. Wesley Clover now has interests in a broad range of next-generation technology companies, real estate, hotels and resorts.
In addition to being the Chairman of Wesley Clover, Terry is also Chairman or Director of a number of private and publicly traded companies.
Terry holds an honours degree in electronics from the University of Wales and is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and of the Royal Academy of Engineering. In 1994, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, and in the 2001 Queen’s Birthday Honours, he was awarded a Knighthood. In 2011, he was appointed Patron of the European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute.
Bruce Linton — Co-Chairman
Under his leadership as CEO, Martello saw a 3 year revenue growth of more than 600%. In addition to his previous role as Martello CEO, Bruce is also the co-founder and Chairman of Canopy Growth Corporation. Bruce has been a founder, CEO and board member at a wide variety of enterprises. After beginning his career at Newbridge Networks Corporation, he has since held positions that include General Manager and Re-Founder of Computerland.ca, President and Co-Founder of webHancer Corp, and part of the establishing team at CrossKeys Systems Corporation.
Bruce has been responsible for the acquisition and/or disposition of more than a billion dollars in business assets, and has established regular engagement with the World Bank and Asia Development Bank while focused on markets in India, Philippines, China, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Bruce led the successful entry of both CrossKeys and Clearford into the Chinese market. In 2009 Clearford was awarded by the Canada-China Business Council for its market entry strategy. He was also part of the leadership team for the Nasdaq/TSX initial public offering at CrossKeys Systems Corporation.
Colley Clarke is an accomplished Board member and executive with international experience in finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, investor relations, legal, and human resources. An experienced CFO, he is known for financial leadership of TSX, NASDAQ and AIM listed companies in the technology, media and communications industries.
Previous roles include Chief Financial Officer of Redknee Solutions Inc. from March 2004 to March 2009, and a Director of Redknee Solutions Inc. from November 2007 to March 2009. Mr. Clarke holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Ivey School of Business, and is a Chartered Accountant with a CPA designation.
Niall Gallagher — Co-Founder and VP, Product Management
Mike Michalyshyn is a seasoned technology lawyer with extensive in-house experience in the embedded software marketplace with QNX Software Systems and BlackBerry. He has served on QNX’s senior management team as the General Counsel and VP of HR, and as a co-lead with QNX’s CFO during a financing and two subsequent acquisitions of the company. He also served as the head of BlackBerry’s Technology Licensing group.
Mr. Michalyshyn graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta Law School, and is a member of the Ontario Bar and a registered Canadian patent agent. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. Mike is currently serving as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of ViXS Systems Inc., a Canadian fabless semiconductor company (TSE:VXS).
Don Smith, General Partner at Wesley Clover International is an accomplished senior executive with international experience. He has held senior executive roles in the hi-tech industry and was recognized as ‘CEO of the Year’ in 2010 by the Ottawa Business Journal and Telfer School of Management at Ottawa University. As CEO of Mitel from 2001 to 2011, Don was responsible for the company’s leadership in the emerging market for IP based business communications solutions, and took the company public in 2010.
Don is a BSc. Engineering Graduate of Imperial College, London. Today, Don is focused on building successful growth companies by mentoring the entrepreneurial technology investments in the Wesley Clover Portfolio.
