Niall Gallagher, co-founder of Ottawa-based Martello, set to retire
December 12, 2018
After 37 years in telecom and nearly a decade since helping to start one of Ottawa’s fastest-growing companies, Martello co-founder Niall Gallagher will retire from the firm later this month.
Gallagher, currently the vice-president of product management at the network performance services firm, started Martello Technologies back in 2009 alongside Emilio DiLorenzo.
The University College Dublin electrical engineering grad also holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa and began his career in the industry with Nortel Networks in 1981. He worked with the telecom giant in senior leadership positions across Canada and Hong Kong before joining Mitel in 2005.
Gallagher’s VP role will end on Dec. 21 but he will remain on the company’s board of directors. Rob Doucette, former chief technical officer of recent Martello acquisition Savision, will step into the vice-president of product management position.
