New Capabilities in Vantage DX release 3.19

Vantage DX 3.19 will be released before the end of November, 2024.  It delivers visibility of private (local) IP addresses, VPN information and building data for This provides more complete end-to-end visibility for more granular alerts and faster troubleshooting.  Previously, visibility was only available for public IP addresses.

Customers that will benefit from this new capability are those enforcing Teams calling over their corporate VPN, or those in campus situations where buildings with local IP addresses are associated with a single public IP address, whether a call went through a VPN.

This visibility will be added to the Teams overview, locations and users dashboards, and will be displayed in alerts where applicable.

Note that building data visibility will only be available to those who have uploaded building data to the Microsoft Call Quality Dashboard.  For customers that have not done so,  Vantage DX will continue to auto-discover offices with public IP addresses, as it always has.

The next release of Vantage DX will be launched before the end of  September, and delivers faster, more effective troubleshooting of Teams issues. The capabilities in this release include:

Automatic identification of Teams outages and locations impacted:

There’s no longer a need to manually sift through synthetic testing results from all of your sites.  AI Anomaly Detection automatically does it for you, and issues an alert indicating if there is a Microsoft Outage, and what locations are impacted.  It even alerts you when Microsoft 365 and its apps are back up and running.

Faster Troubleshooting of Teams Phone Issues with Dashboard Visibility

Visualizations of Teams Phone data have been added to the Vantage DX dashboards. This is a more intuitive and insightful way for you to observe the data, and also delivers more context to alerts, leading to faster troubleshooting and more effective decision making.

Now Vantage DX provides insights and contextual information for potential root causes, along with recommendations to resolve these problems. This greatly speeds the time to diagnose and resolve problems.

More flexibility and faster deployment with UDP protocol support and a unified robot and network probe

We’ve added UDP alongside the current ICMP protocol support for network path tracing, better aligning with how many customers deploy Teams. Unifying the network probe into the Robot Manager, means synthetic testing and network path tracing only require the deployment of a single system, for faster set-up and time to value.
